Everybody always asks where the name Dead Rock came from. It all started with 2 brothers name Raymond and Jim Livingston. My grandfather was Raymond and my Godfather was his brother Jim. Our last name was livingston, but people always said Livingstone with an \u201cE\u201d on the end. Ray and Jim would always correct everyone and say it\u2019s livingston, not livingstone! So their friends said \u201cokay, we are just going to call you the \u201cDead Rock\u201d boys\u201d, since that is he opposite of \u201cLiving Stone\u201d.<\/p>\n
Fast forward 70 years\u2026when we founded the company, my wife and I were taking care of my grandfather Ray who had Alzheimer\u2019s and Dementia. We were trying to think of a name and I looked at him and said \u201cHey Pop, why don\u2019t we call it \u201cDead Rock\u201d? He remembered the name immediately. His face lit up, he got so excited and started to tell us all the stories and adventures of the Dead Rock boys. We had a logo made and got him a T-shirt and a hat. We knew then, that was going to be the name of the company.
